A very significant story that I found and liked to share with my dears. So read it and tell us what do you understand from.
IN THE GARDEN
A WORLD OF BEAUTY
‘’What would our world be like with more beauty, inner and outer beauty ? ” This thought comes to mind when I am putting trash into the garbage bags in our project at Thomas Jefferson Park in East Harlem in New York City. This past summer we were asked to put in a little “seed” garden ( it is six feet by six feet) with the hope it will revitalize the caring of the community and eventually grow into restoring the park.
After planting the beautiful yellow, white pink and purple flowers, we put in a little sign in the front of the garden that asks passers-by to “Please Love Our Garden.” After four weeks of consistent vandalism, half of the flowers were harmed or taken. I then had the thought to change the sign to : “ Please Love Your Garden”, by putting “Y” in front of “Our”. So far it has slowed down the expression of cruelty toward the little flowers.
From this simple experience; I learnt that when people feel a sense of involvement, “ ownership” , or stewardship they will be more likely to preserve and protect the beauty in their world, in their lives and in their neighborhoods.
This led me to think: “ What would our world be like with twice the beauty in it ?” ….Now if you will, think about what you can do to make your world a bit more beautiful , locally and , if possible , globally. Having seen the outer beauty more clearly, now turn to your “ inner ecology” , as Diana Whitmore calls it. Gently ask yourself how you can make your inner life more beautiful……

Well... There would be perfection...a thing Man is so far from though starving to reach it inappropriately. I'm not suspecting people's goodness but stating what we should avoid in order that everything would be straight and clear to dive deeper and deeper in a concept called "beauty"...since "The Beautyful Ones Are Not Yet Born", as Ayi Kwei Armah said.
This rmains a personal opinion, no more.

Thank you dears. Personally speaking what I do understand from this nice story is that no one likes to be left away.Everyone thinks that if s/he is in this life just because he is important and has a task to achieve, but just to be given the opportunity. This leads me to think about what nice things we can come out with and which the others may no expect us to. It is the feeling of INVOLVEMENT. I imagine this story the CBA approach in our classes. So what if we get everyone in class involved in the lesson??? won't we get another park like the one in NEW YORK?
