The Influential Teacher

What Kind of Teacher Will You Be?

"Stress is the teacher's worst enemy. It comes from everywhere: students,
their parents, other faculty and administrators. But wouldn't you agree
that it's mostly the students? Many days all you can manage to do once
you get home is have a snack and take a long, hard nap. Meanwhile, your
students are running and playing outside with their friends, or they are
inside laughing, playing video games, and watching movies. They aren't
worried about you, and they didn't take a single bit of stress home
after the bell rang. That's because they gave all the stress to you! And
you took it. Since you have been unaware of how all this works, you
have followed this same cycle day after day, year after year. To be the
best teacher you can possibly be, this cycle has to stop. The secret to
being a stress-free teacher is so remarkably simple that you may have
overlooked it."

I always want to be myself.

I mean, the one a learner expects me to be.

Sometimes, I don't like o bring the person

filled with administrative and social obstacles

to my class, ey circumstances do impose that.

How about you?

I often try to go to my pupils so motivated, active, enthusiastic so that I may communicate part of those positive feelings and hide the negative ones to them in order to lessen their boredom and engage them in class activities.
